Heather Metcalfe
Estate Law Clerk

Along with her husband Carl, their three children and the rest of her family, Heather has lived in Almonte and the Ottawa Valley all of her life. She is a graduate of an Algonquin College business and accounting programme and started her legal career in 1987 with the law firm of Gold Kelly. Heather later went to work for Mr. Michael Galligan in Almonte and then, after her second child was born, she worked at the Almonte Public Library for seventeen years. Heather says that working at a Library was one of the most rewarding jobs of her life as it really drew her closer to her hometown and the people in it.

Like Bonnie McCurdy, Heather did some part-time work with Mr. Pat Galway and then joined Douglas Buchmayer full-time. Heather is the firm’s estates “go-to” person and has experience handling just about every kind of estate issue and problem imaginable! In her “spare” time, Heather enjoys spending time with her family and two dogs.
